Instead of being limited to its training data, which was last updated before September 2021, ChatGPT may now obtain real-time data from the internet.
While ChatGPT has previously accessed the internet through a variety of third-party plugins and programs, this official release shows OpenAI’s confidence in the ethical bounds of its AI by enabling it to explore the broad range of content—both positive and negative—available on the internet. For users who subscribe to the $20 monthly plan, the feature is available on both the web and mobile platforms.
