Next week, Google will release a software update for the new Nest WiFi Pro to help users with their poor connection.
What’s New?
Google is “currently investigating reports of a small number of users experiencing reduced internet speeds on Nest Wifi Pro routers,” according to Sanjay Noronha, the device’s product lead, and its “teams are working to roll out a fix.”
What’s More?
The speedier WiFi 6E standard, which enables speeds of up to 5.4Gbps, was supported by the Nest WiFi Pro mesh router when it was introduced last month.
The device’s 6GHz spectrum reduces network traffic and automatically modifies “network performance to avoid interruptions.”
Digging Into More Details
After the device’s release, Google Nest Community Forum began receiving complaints and concerns about problems that were causing download and upload rates of 40 Mbps to 90 Mbps to be limited.
The business did see that point-to-point protocol over ethernet (PPPoE) networks were the only ones associated with complaints, which were limited to the UK.
