Fans were upset when Malik departed the group in 2014 because of his absence. Rumors have been circulating for years, but the specifics are still unknown. Malik admitted during the interview that he had always wanted to be the first to quit the group in order to forge his own artistic identity.
Taking Time for Self-Reflection
